FinExplained does not currently use affiliate links or run advertising. We earn nothing from the products mentioned on this site today.
If that changes
As the site grows, we may add advertising and affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you click a link and sign up for or buy a product, at no extra cost to you. When we do, we will follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements and disclose it clearly and up front:
- A plain statement near any affiliate link that it is an affiliate link.
- This disclosure page kept current with the partners and programs we use.
- No content written to favor a partner. Reviews and recommendations are based on merit.
How we choose what to recommend
Our recommendations are not for sale. We recommend a product only if we believe it is genuinely useful, and a commission never changes our editorial judgment. Where a better non-affiliate option exists, we will say so.
